What is Droplet Infection?
Droplet diseases beget especially
with the start of winter season such as common cold, influenza, chickenpox, meningitis and mumps etc. The people living in overcrowded areas and
experiencing strong physical activities may often victim of such droplet
diseases.
Droplet Precautions
To avoid dispersion of such
infections, following measures are suggested:-

- If anyone is suffering from droplet diseases like fever, cough, running nose, sneezing, headache, vomiting, neck pain, swelling of jaw or skin eruptions etc. must immediately rush to nearby hospital for early diagnostician.
- Droplet isolation is essential for patients suffering from droplet infections and they must be kept in separate rooms at the hospital.
- Know the way of transmission of such infectious disease and avoid sitting at overcrowded places, which are main sources of spreading droplet infections.
- Occupied rooms should be so ventilated that there is a free air circulation.
- Youngsters must avoid fatigue factors because they may become liable to colds that may render them susceptible to these infections.
- The main mode of transmission for such disease is congested rooms, so outdoor games and light exercises must be given preference.
- Always use handkerchief or tissue paper while sneezing or coughing if sitting among people.
- To avoid the transmission of droplet infection, the patient should be kept in separate room at hospital as well as at home.
