What is Chicken Pox?

Chicken pox is a severe viral infection which is categorized by slight fever and cough, sneezing and typical skin eruptions. Chicken pox becomes more common in winter and spring season. The disease spreads more through droplets expelled from nose or mouth of a patient by sneezing or coughing. The people who are living in congested environment are more prone to suffer from such droplet infection. Without any discrimination of sex, race or age; we can never ignore the threat of chicken pox in babies and chicken pox for adults.

Chicken Pox spreads through droplets expelled from nose or mouth of a patient.

Main symptoms of Chicken Pox are:
Slight or high fever, aches and headache.
Spots or rashes appear on any part or whole body, grow into small blisters and become itchy.
Cough, sneezing and typical skin eruptions.
Loss of appetite or feeding difficulties.

Chicken Pox Prevention

Chicken pox can be prevented and controlled by taking measures such as:
The person suffering from slight fever, cough, sneezing or skin eruptions should immediately report to hospital for early detection of disease and treatment of chickenpox.
The effected persons of chicken pox should be admitted in hospital and kept separately from other patient until they recover.
Such patient should be kept in rooms which are ventilated with free air circulation.
Chicken pox spreads fast in overcrowded areas and people working in different organization are to kept themselves avoid from face to face sitting on dining tables or while reading in library rooms.
The patient who suffers from such disease, must avoid over fatigue and working in gatherings because it may render people susceptible to this infection.
Chicken pox spreads more when people are crowded together in ill ventilated rooms. Afternoon games and exercised can reduce the effects of such disease.
When sitting at crowded places, always use handkerchief or tissue paper while coughing and sneezing.
Damp seeping and dusting should be done to control dust dispersion.
